This course gives an introduction to the whole field of information security, but then focuses on computer security. Moments treated both theoretically and through practical exercises in the course are for example various forms of authentication (such as biometric and password-based), access control, and ethical and legal aspects of computer security. Both threats and tools for dealing with the threats are addressed.

Introduction to programming (1DV501), 7.5 credits or Module A in 1DV025, 7.5 credits or Problem Solving and Programming 7.5 credits (1DV506) or equivalent
