The course involves writing and presenting, in writing and orally, a thesis addressing a research question in economics. During the course the student will learn how to motivate and answer a research question using a scientific approach. This involves giving an overview of relevant theories, discussing existing empirical research related to the research question and providing original empirical and/or theoretical research. The student is expected to defend the thesis at a seminar and to discuss the theses of other students.

Entry requirements

Economics 60 credits, including Econometrics 7.5 credits, as well as Statistics 15 credits and English 6/English level 2, or the equivalent.
