The objective of the course is that the student should get a deeper knowledge and advanced skills in an area of mathematics or applied mathematics to prepare for the coming degree project on master level. The content is decided in consultation with the course coordinator.

Entry requirements

The special prerequisites for this course, besides basic eligibility for university studies and are a pass mark from the following upper secondary school courses: English 6 or English futher level 2. A bachelor degree in mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, computer science, economics or equivalent. In addition at least 76 credits in mathematics, including 15 credits on advanced level.
