Kursen ger dig översikt över migrationsforskning och forskning om tid i sociologi. Under kursen belyses migration med hjÀlp av olika tidsteoretiska ingÄngar och begrepp som hjÀlper dig att förstÄ migration pÄ olika och delvis nya sÀtt. Migration handlar inte bara om geografisk rörlighet utan ocksÄ om tid, samhÀllsförÀndring och individuella liv. Under kursen belyses migrationsprocessers förÀndring över tid och i relation till samhÀllsförÀndringar. Migration pÄverkas ocksÄ av lagar och policy som har konsekvenser för individuella handlingsmöjligheter och livsbanor. Som studerande fÄr du möjlighet att fördjupa dig i nÄgon av kursens bÀrande tematiker genom att till exempel belysa relationer mellan individuella migrationsprocesser, institutionella omstÀndigheter, och hur mÀnniskor skapar mening under dessa omstÀndigheter.
General entry requirements for second-cycle studies and specific entry requirements as follows: Degree of Bachelor in Sociology or the equivalent Swedish 3/B and English 5/A or the equivalent 30 credits in second-cycle studies in sociology or the equivalent
