I kursen studeras frågor kring historieskrivning inom olika musikområden och olika tider. Vilka artister finns med i populärmusikens historia? Vilka ideal styr vad som tas upp i en konstmusikalisk stilhistoria? Vilken vetenskaplig status har egentligen en biografi? Dessa och liknande frågor tas upp till diskussion och kritisk granskning i kursen, både utifrån källtexter från olika tider och från aktuell forskning.
Entry requirements
Musicology III (90 credits in progression) including an individual thesis project on G2E level of 15 credits, or equivalent. You also need Swedish 3 and English 6 or Swedish, level 3 and English, level 2.
