Utbildningen riktar sig till lärare i kulturskola utan lärarbehörighet samt obehöriga lärare i grundskola som vill ha behörighet för att undervisa i musik i grundskola. Utbildningen består av 90 hp, tre terminer, musikkurser för musiklärare. För att sedan få formell behörighet byggs utbildningen på med 90 hp KPU, kompletterande pedagogisk utbildning.
