The course provides an introduction to fundamental concepts in solid mechanics. Focus is mainly on uniaxial stress states and beam theory, but the course also deals with multiaxial stress states, principal stresses and different flow and failure criteria.

Calculus 7.5 credits och Mechanics, 7.5 credits or equivalent.
