This course is an introductory course in organic chemistry and biochemistry that will convey an integrated understanding of organic compounds and how they form the basis for the cell's molecular structure and function. The course also highlights how some common organic compounds are used commercially in the form of polymers or in the food- and pharmaceutical industries.

Entry requirements

In order to meet the general entry requirements for first cycle studies you must have successfully completed upper secondary education and have documented skills in English language. Exemption for Swedish A and B / Swedish 1-3. and K0016K Chemical principles or equivalent
