<p>Using cultural criminological perspectives, you analyse contemporary issues related to crime, norms, power and social control, in both national and global contexts.</p><p>This course is taught in English.</p><p>The course deepens your understanding of cultural criminological perspectives through applied analysis. You work with current issues related to crime and crime trends, social control, norms, legislation and the criminal justice system, in both national and transnational contexts.</p><p>The course equips you with tools to critically examine and analyse the interaction between theory and practice through cultural criminological approaches. You practise evaluating how different perspectives can be used to understand contemporary social problems, preparing you for future working life and research. </p><p>Throughout the course, you also develop your ability to communicate analyses - in full or in part - in both written and oral formats, adapted to different audiences and contexts.</p>
The student must have passed the course CCRN01 (Theories, Perspectives and Concepts of Cultural Criminology, 15 credits)
