You will be immersed in cutting-edge research and learn from active researchers.</p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">In our Biomedicine programme, you will explore critical questions such as:</span></p><p> </p><ul><li>How can we quickly develop diagnostics, treatments, and vaccines for future pandemics?</li><li>What strategies can combat antibiotic resistance?</li><li>Can we create spare organs using stem cell technology?</li><li>How do genetics, environment, diet, and lifestyle influence health and disease?</li></ul><p><br/></p><h3>Programme structure</h3><p>The Biomedicine programme covers a wide range of topics from molecular biology to human physiology in health and disease. </p><p>Year 1: You will start with courses in biochemistry, genetics, and cell and tissue biology. </p><p>Year 2: You will delve into developmental biology and stem cells, immunology, and physiology. The year concludes with a course on the molecular basis of disease and drug development. </p><p>Year 3: You will begin with translational and molecular medicine, followed by a preparatory course for conducting research projects, and the programme culminates with an individual 30 ECTS thesis project in a research lab.</p>

Entry requirements

General requirements and studies equivalent to Swedish Upper Secondary School courses Biology 2/Biology level 2, Chemistry 2/Chemistry level 2 and Mathematics 4 (or older course Mathematics D)/Mathematics further level 2
