<p>BIOR93</p><p>Bioinformatics, the application of computational methods to biological and biomedical problems, is a rapidly growing field. Modern biochemists and biologists need to have a basic knowledge of bioinformatics. This course provides both a practical and a theoretical overview of database searching, sequence alignment, phylogenetic analysis, gene prediction and genome analysis. </p>
To be admitted to the course, students must have 90 credits in science studies, including knowledge equivalent to BIOA10 Cell and microbiology, 15 credits and BIOA11 Genetics and evolution. English 6/English B.
