<p>The course begins with an overview of the historical development of governance and management of public and non-profit organisations in Scandinavia. The course also highlights and analyses the conditions, characteristics and challenges of these organisations in Scandinavia. Furthermore, the course presents the development of public management, how it has been applied in recent decades and the criticisms that have been raised.</p>
