<p>The course equips you with mathematics and statistics to analyse economic problems. You will learn tools for examining economic relationships and build a solid foundation for further studies in economics, finance, or data analysis.</p><p>The course provides you with the tools to apply mathematical and statistical methods in economic analysis. You will study differential and integral calculus, optimisation, matrix algebra, probability theory, and basic statistics, all of which are essential for analysing economic problems. The course prepares you for advanced studies in economics by, among other things, examining optimisation decisions made by consumers and producers. It also serves as preparation for econometrics, where mathematics and statistics are used to analyse economic data and test theories.</p><p>Through the course, you will build a strong analytical foundation and become proficient in using mathematics and statistics to solve economic problems. It prepares you for further study in economics, finance or data analysis and equips you with the ability to critically evaluate empirical results in a data-driven world.</p>

Entry requirements

General and at least 20 ECTS basic economics, of which at least 7.5 ECTS basic microeconomics
