<p>In the course ENGC02, you deepen your knowledge of English grammar and translation and develop linguistic accuracy that makes you more confident and precise in your use of English.</p><p>If you have studied English in the Swedish school system, you already have a solid foundation. University-level studies in English, however, can take you several steps further. In this course, you gain deeper insight into how English works and how it differs from Swedish, enabling you to avoid common errors made by learners with a Swedish language background. At the same time, you develop the ability to explain and justify what constitutes correct and appropriate English in different contexts—an important skill in both academic and professional settings.</p><p>The course focuses on English grammar and translation from Swedish into English and provides you with a solid conceptual framework for analysing language at multiple levels. You also improve your understanding of spelling, punctuation, and other conventions of written English, becoming a more conscious and reliable language user. The course is offered as a freestanding course at first-cycle level (G1N), requires only upper-secondary qualifications, and is taught entirely in English.</p>
