<p>In feminist and gender studies, research is not just about collecting data. It is about asking who gets to produce knowledge and why. This course gives you the skills to design thoughtful research and the confidence to question established ways of knowing.</p><p>This course introduces you to feminist approaches to research methods. You learn how gender studies scholars design research, collect and analyse data, and reflect on the ethical and political choices involved. The course helps you understand how theory, methods and knowledge are connected and how to apply this in your own research. </p><p>You will explore topics such as: </p><ul><li>Feminist and gender studies research methods </li><li>The relationship between theory, methods and ethics </li><li>Formulating research questions and selecting methods </li><li>Ethical dilemmas in feminist research </li></ul><p>The course is ideal if you are interested in gender, social justice, or critical perspectives in the social sciences and humanities. </p>

Entry requirements

To be admitted to the course, the student must hold a bachelor’s degree in social science or humanities. Oral and written proficiency in English equivalent to English 6/B (advanced) from Swedish upper secondary school is a requirement. International qualifications will be assessed in accordance with national guidelines.
