<p>Kursen ger dig fördjupade kunskaper om medicinens historia från antiken till nutiden, med särskilt fokus på medicinens utveckling i relation till sociala, politiska och filosofiska frågor.</p><p>Du lär dig om utvecklingen av medicinska teorier och praktiker, historiska föreställningar om sjukdom och hälsa, sjukvårdens institutionalisering samt historiska aspekter på etiska frågeställningar inom medicinens område. Du lär dig även om aktuella teorier och metoder inom medicinhistorisk forskning.</p><p>Undervisningen sker genom seminarier där stor vikt läggs vid diskussioner och aktivt deltagande.</p>

Entry requirements

Knowledge in Swedish and English corresponding to the language requirements to meet the general entry requirements for Bachelor’s level studies and a bachelor course in history or the history of ideas and science, or another subject with a historical focus, or equivalent knowledge.
