<p>Would you like to improve your academic writing skills while deepening your understanding of questions related to religion and spirituality? In this course, you will practise the entire research process - from developing an idea to completing a research paper.</p><p>This is a 7.5-credit course in History of Religions. You will work with academic writing and learn how to investigate and analyse questions related to religion and spirituality.</p><p>The course provides an introduction to the structure and conventions of academic writing and examines what distinguishes scholarly texts from other forms of writing, such as journalism or opinion pieces.</p><p>The course is offered as a standalone course and may be included in a degree in History of Religions or in Religious Studies and Theology. Instruction is conducted in both Swedish and English.</p>
General entry requirements and successful completion of at least 15 credits within Religious Studies: Level 1 (REVA10/ΓRED11), of which at least 10 credits must consist of Modules 2 Hindu and Buddhist traditions and Module 4 Jewish and Islamic traditions. Alternatively, general eligibility and successful completion of at least 15 credits within Islamic Studies: Level 1 (ISLA11) or at least 15 credits within Jewish Studies: Level 1 (JUDA12/JUDA13), or the equivalent.
