<p>Do you want to understand how law and economics interact? This course in Law and Economics gives you the tools to analyse how legal rules affect economic values and how they can be designed for efficiency and fairness.</p><p>Law and Economics explores the interplay between legal systems and economic principles. The course explains why legal rules exist from an economic perspective and how they influence economic outcomes.</p><p>You will learn to analyse rules in terms of efficiency and distribution, and gain tools to evaluate different legal solutions. The focus is on property law and land law, primarily in Sweden, but the insights are relevant in a broader context. </p><p>The course can be taken as a stand-alone option and is ideal for students interested in law, economics and how legislation can contribute to an efficient and fair society.</p>
At least 90 hp in passed courses which must include an introductory course in Law comparable to HARA04 or JURF11 and an introductory course in Economics (micro) comparable to NEKA12 or NEKA51. Swedish 3.
