<p>How do media and culture shape the way we read and understand literature? This course gives you the tools to analyse literary and media expressions - from historical traditions to today’s digital landscape.</p><p>This introductory course explores the connections between literature, culture, and media. You’ll learn about current theories and methods in literary, media, and cultural studies. The focus is on how literary forms have evolved over time and how they are influenced by different cultural and media contexts.</p><p>You’ll gain a deeper understanding of how literary works are interpreted, adapted, and received across different periods and platforms. Through concrete examples and hands-on analysis, you’ll develop your ability to identify links between genres, media, and cultural expressions.<br/></p>
Admission to the course requires completed Level 3 (first cycle) courses in either English (ENGK01), French (FRAK11), Russian (RYSK03), Spanish (SPAK01), German (TYSK02), Yiddish (YIDK01) with a literary studies specialisation, or Literary Studies (LIVK10) or equivalent, and English B/English 6.
