<p>Are you fascinated by how literature can reflect and influence societal development? Do you want to delve into German post-war literature and understand its significance for today's culture? </p><p>Here, you will explore German literature from the 1950s onwards, focusing on how authors address themes such as guilt and identity after World War II. </p><p>The course covers several key German-language novels from the post-war period, with a particular focus on the 1950s and the literary situation surrounding "Gruppe 47". You will study key novels in relation to the political and societal situation after the end of the war, with special attention to issues of guilt and reconciliation.</p><p>The course is part of the master's program Literature - Culture - Media, but can also be taken as a standalone course. </p>
Successful completion of 90 higher education credits in the subjects of Comparative Literature, English, French, German, Spanish or Russian Literature, or the equivalent.
