<p>Malmö Academy of Music is a leading educational institution specialised in musical studies, training, and research. We offer programmes aimed at students who want to work professionally as musicians, church musicians, composers or music teachers. With a clear international profile, we move art forward - always with the passion for music and learning at our core.</p><p>The Master's programme in Music with a specialisation in symphonic orchestral instruments is a two-year full-time university education. It is aimed at students who have a Bachelor's degree and want to further deepen their technical and artistic skills in Western art music. The programme includes both individual lessons, masterclasses and ensemble.</p> <p>The Symphony Orchestra Instrument programme is available for the following instruments:</p> <ul> <li>Flute</li> <li>Clarinet</li> <li>Oboe</li> <li>Bassoon</li> <li>French Horn</li> <li>Trumpet</li> <li>Trombone</li> <li>Tuba</li> <li>Violin</li> <li>Viola</li> <li>Cello</li> <li>Double Bass</li> <li>Percussion</li> <li>Harp</li> </ul> <h3>Admission</h3> <p>You can apply for this programme via www.universityadmissions.se during the period 2 December 2024 - 15 January 2025. </p> <p>Admission to our programmes requires you to audition at the Malmö Academy of Music. General requirements for university studies in Sweden as well as a Bachelor in Music 180 credits or equivalent and successful entrance tests to the Master’s Programme in Music. Exceptions can be made from the basic eligibility requirement of proficiency in Swedish for international students.
