Code: TAPRR

Sustainable production is essential to a sustainable society. This programme combines production and materials engineering with digitalised, sustainable manufacturing and global production, preparing you for conscious engineering and leadership roles.

Sustainability in manufacturing is about designing resource-efficient production systems that use the right technology for value creation, while ensuring good working environments. The programme integrates manufacturing processes, production systems and materials engineering - focusing on sustainable production, digitalisation, automation, and global manufacturing. You will have the possibility to specialise in a chosen field of production engineering and benefit from a strong international perspective.

The programme equips you with the knowledge, skills and vision to tackle challenges in manufacturing, industrial automation, and product development. You will be able to evaluate, decide and design processes, systems and components based on different strategies on e.g. resources, component properties and sustainability. With a global-to-local perspective, the programme explores production and materials engineering in a changing world, ensuring that you understand both the broader industrial landscape and local applications. The system perspective is central, providing you with the ability to manage complex processes in production and material processing.

As a graduate, you will be able to analyse, evaluate, and optimise complex manufacturing processes and production systems involved in product realisation, preparing you for a future in advanced manufacturing industries.
