<p>How does the EU act on the global stage, and how is its power shaped by others? This course explores Europe’s role in global affairs and gives you tools to analyse the political forces that define today’s international order.</p><p>This course is offered exclusively to students in the Master of Science in European Affairs programme. It examines the European Union’s role beyond its borders - politically, economically, and legally - and its capacity to influence global developments. </p><p>You will study how the EU has evolved as a global actor, how it interacts with states and international organisations, and how global dynamics affect the Union’s power and position in world politics. The course combines theoretical and empirical perspectives and links the EU’s internal and external policies.</p>

Entry requirements

150 ECTS credits including a Bachelor’s degree essay in Political Science or Peace and Conflict Studies (or equivalent). English 6/English course B.
