<p>Read key literary works from Russian modernism. This course is given online at advanced level. </p><p>The course is taught in English at master's level. Admission to the course requires a total of at least 90 credits in Russian and/or literary studies. The course is taught jointly with LIVR37. </p><p>The course focuses on Russian modernism, which has two main currents: Symbolism and Futurism..You will study the significance of the long-term contributions of these two currents to Russian culture, and read literary works against the backdrop of a culture encompassing religious, ideological and, eventually, political aspects, as well as the relationship between literature and other art forms.</p>
To be eligible for the course the student must have 90 higher education credits in Russian and/or Comparative Literature (i.e. 90 credits in a combination of these subjects) and English 6.
