<p>Broaden your perspective and explore the distinctive sound and repertoire of the viola. This is a course for university-level violinists and professional musicians who want to develop their skills on the viola.</p><p>During the course you will get a thorough introduction to tone production and bowing techniques specific to the viola, and you will learn to read music in the alto (viola) clef. We also go through both solo and chamber music repertoire, adapted to your level. </p><p>Teaching takes place both individually and in groups, giving you the opportunity to receive personal feedback while developing together with others. </p><p>Malmö Academy of Music offers a limited number of violas for loan during the course. To be eligible, you must have completed at least 7.5 credits in violin studies at a music academy or equivalent.</p>
