<p>This course gives you the opportunity to formulate your own research question in sociology and contribute to scholarly discussions. Writing an independent thesis completes your master’s degree. </p><p>In this course you write an independent master’s thesis in sociology. You formulate your own research question, apply relevant theories and methods, and engage with the latest developments in the field. Your work should demonstrate critical thinking, creativity, and a deep understanding of the subject.  </p><p>At the final seminar, you present your thesis and give constructive feedback on another student’s work.  </p>

Entry requirements

For admission to the course a Bachelor's degree in Sociology or equivalent is required, plus 30 second-cycle credits in Sociology or the equivalent, as well as 30 second-cycle credits in research methodology and/or theory of knowledge (of which at least 15 credits at advanced level).
