<p>How do we function as musicians when we practise, collaborate and perform? This course aims to provide you with tools to understand the psychological factors involved in musical performance. </p><p>The course is intended for students at music academies, professional musicians and music teachers who wish to develop in their professional practice. Through lectures, seminars and group exercises, you will explore topics such as memory, group dynamics and rehearsal.</p><p>You will gain a deeper understanding of how mental and cognitive processes influence music-making, both in theory and in practice. The course also provides opportunities to discuss specific challenges, situations and questions drawn from your own musical practice.</p><p>Teaching takes place on campus at Malmö Academy of Music on four to five occasions during the autumn semester and four to five occasions during the spring semester. Exact dates will be announced before the course begins.</p><p><br/></p>
Specific entry requirement: studies or has previously studied a musician or music teacher programme, at least 90 credits.
