<p>Learn Yiddish and explore a rich cultural heritage! Yiddish is a national minority language, and Lund University is the only university in Scandinavia that offers Yiddish. The course focuses on basic grammar, vocabulary, communication, speaking, writing, listening and translation.</p><p>This course is the first of two beginner-level Yiddish courses and requires no prior knowledge. The course prioritizes practical language acquisition, with a strong focus on communicative competence. This means that you will start by reading simple dialogues and texts that help you build a basic vocabulary and understand key grammatical structures. The language of instruction is English.</p><p> </p>

General requirements and studies equivalent to Swedish Upper Secondary School courses English 6/English level 2
