Discrete Mathematics is a rich branch of mathematics with a multitude of applications in fields as diverse as computing, biology, chemistry and economics. The course is a thorough introduction to combinatorial structures and counting techniques, number theory, graph theory and algorithms. It is an excellent starting point for moving on to advanced courses in abstract algebra, discrete optimisation, coding theory, cryptography and networks.

Entry requirements

Matematik 22,5 hp inklusive minst 3 hp linjär algebra.
