The idea of Algebraic Topology is to associate to topological spaces some algebraic objects such as groups and rings, so that the algebraic properties of these objects give information about the topological properties of the spaces. In this course you will study the fundamental group and the homology groups of topological spaces.

Entry requirements

Mathematics BA, 60 credits, of which at least 15 credits at BA (C) level.
