Topology consists of developing a concept of proximity on a space even when a metric is not defined. The course introduces fundamental topological concepts such as continuity, compactness and connected sets. Two highlights of the course are the Urysohn Lemma and the Tychonoff Theorem.

Mathematics BA, 60 credits, of which at least 15 credits at BA (C) level.
