Kursen ger en översikt över kyrkans utbredning och omvandling från mitten av 1300-talet fram till nutiden. Reformationerna, upplysningen och konfessionaliseringen samt utvecklingen från 1800-talets mitt till Andra Vatikankonciliet uppmärksammas särskilt. Kursen behandlar också den kristna kyrkans tillväxt i områden som Afrika, Asien och Latinamerika. Deltagarna får öva sin förmåga att tolka och värdera historiska källor utifrån historisk teori och metod.

Entry requirements

General admission requirements for university studies. Students taking part in the course as a part of their Bachelor’s degree program must have completed Course A, Introduction in Philosophy and Theology (30 ECTS credits).
