The Bachelor's Program in Applied Audiology, with a focus on hearing health care, provides comprehensive expertise in the hearing sciences through courses including acoustics, phonetics and speech perception, anatomy, and physiology of hearing, and audiological rehabilitation. The program is interdisciplinary, covering areas such as medicine, technology, behavioral and social sciences, as well as humanities, all to prepare you for your future professional role within hearing health care. Upon completion of the program, you can work with audiological diagnostics, assessment, and rehabilitation. This involves tasks such as conducting hearing tests and fitting hearing aids, providing supportive counseling, offering advice, or education when meeting clients with hearing or listening difficulties. You can also specialize in areas such as workplace adaptations for people with hearing impairment. In hearing health care, you encounter individuals of all ages and backgrounds in need of support regarding hearing and communication. The program also includes practical clinical training in hearing health care. The education leads to a Bachelor's degree in Applied Audiology. If all conditions in the relevant regulations are met, it can serve as the basis for applying for a license as an audiologist. It also provides opportunities for further studies at an advanced level in hearing science/audiology.
