This course equips master's-level finance and economics students with essential programming skills for data processing, analysis, visualization, and model implementation. Using languages like MATLAB or Python, students will learn to process financial and economic data, conduct statistical analyses, develop models, and automate tasks. Emphasizing coding efficiency and replicability, the course features hands-on exercises to build the technical expertise needed for success in economics and finance.

Entry requirements

First-cycle courses of 75 credits in Economics, Business Administration or Statistics. Statistics, Basic Course, 15 credits and Data Mining and Business Analytics, Basic Course, 15 credits alternatively Statistics, Basic Course, 15 credits and 7,5 credits in regression analysis/econometrics/scientific method within economic or statistics. The applicant must also have qualifications corresponding to the course English 6/ English level 2 from the Swedish Upper Secondary School.
