As computers become more powerful, we are able to analyze large and complex data sets. The course provides tools in the form of statistical methods to analyze and acquire knowledge from these emerging data sets. Assessment: Assignments and written examination.

Entry requirements

First-cycle courses of 60 credits in statistics including 9 credits from Statistics, Statistical Theory, 15 credits, Second Cycle and Linear Algebra 7,5 creditsor Mathematics for statisticians 7,5 credits. Alternatively Statistics, 9 credits from Statistical Theory, 15 credits Second Cycle and First-cycle courses of 22,5 credits in Mathematics
