Kursen behandlar: Introduktion till databaser och databashanterare. Informationstrukturering enligt "Entity-Relationsship"-modellen och dess koppling till databasscheman. Funktionella beroenden och deras betydelse för god databasdesign. Normalisering. Frågespråk för definition av data, hantering av data, och datasökning. Transaktionshantering. Praktisk användning av vanligt förekommande databashanterare.
Entry requirements
For course admission knowledge equivalent to the following is required: Programming Techniques for Mathematicians, 7.5 ECTS credits (DA2004), and Computer Science for Mathematicians, 7.5 ECTS credits (DA3018).
