Kursen bygger vidare på kunskaperna i Modevetenskap I. De fyra delkurserna behandlar den franska modeutvecklingen ur ett historiskt och kulturellt perspektiv samt övriga stora modenationers uppkomst och utveckling inklusive den svenska. Vidare undersöks olika former av modemediering såsom film, magasin, sociala medier och reklam. Modevetenskap II avslutas med kursen Vetenskapligt skrivande som tränar studenterna i författandet av en akademisk uppsats med inriktning på modevetenskap.
