Advanced knowledge in the subject is acquired through a general survey of genre theory and aesthetic aspects of literature. Particular emphasis is placed on how in French literature one or more genres develop in literary currents and / or over time (eg, "the realistic novel"). Genre perspective and aesthetic considerations are the starting points in the analyses of a selection of literary texts.
Entry requirements
Knowledge corresponding to French - Bachelor’s course, 30 credits or French III, 30 credits and French - Bachelor’s course, 15 credits plus knowledge corresponding to English B/English 6.
