Fashion has always been the subject of various social, political, and cultural influences that have contributed to its establishment and development. This course identifies and examines the controversies and moral discourses that have characterized Western society's view of fashion. History of Dress provides students with a solid understanding of the role of dress and the values it creates in society. (Please see course pdf for additional details)
