The course includes a historical overview of how geophysical methods have been used to explore the oceans and how seafloor mapping has contributed to understanding of Earth's evolution. Re-exams may be held on campus.
Admission to the course requires knowledge equivalent to 60 credits in geology or geoscience, alternatively 30 credits in geology or geoscience and 15 credits in mathematics and 15 credits in physics/geophysics.
Each offering has its own dates and conditions. Closed offerings are retained as history and do not mean that a new application is open.
