The course covers mineral chemistry, optical microscopy and classification of minerals in common rocks. The course covers sedimentary, metamorphic and igneous petrology with description and classification of common sedimentary, metamorphic and igneous rocks.
Entry requirements
Access to the course requires knowledge corresponding to the Geological Sciences course 15 credits (GG2010), alternatively the courses Tellus I - Geology, 15 credits (GG2008), Tellus II - Geology, 12.5 credits (GG4039) and Tellus III - Geology, 2.5 credits (GG4042).
