The course covers crystallography, mineral chemistry, mineral physics, physical and optical properties of minerals, mineral identification and mineral analysis. The course has an open start and you can read the course at your own pace. Re-exams may be held on campus.

Entry requirements

Admission to the course requires completion the courses Tellus I - Geology 15 credits and Tellus II - Geology 12.5 credits or Geology and geophysics 15 credits, or equivalent.
