A research project or a literature study within the physics area is carried out. The project or the study is accounted for both orally and with a written report. A series of seminars about scientific perspective is also included in the course. The project part including the reports should take about 10 weeks to perform.
Admission to the course requires knowledge corresponding to: - Mathematics for the Natural Sciences I, 15 credits (MM2002) - Mathematics for the Natural Sciences II, 15 credits (MM4001) - Mathematics II – Analysis, Part A, 7.5 credits (MM5010) - Mathematics II – Analysis, Part B, 7.5 credits (MM5011) - Mathematics II – Linear Algebra, 7.5 credits (MM5012) - Classical Physics, 30 credits (FK3014) - Programming, Numerical Methods and Statistics for Physicists, 15 credits (FK4026) - Electromagnetism and Waves, 7.5 credits (FK5019) - Quantum Mechanics, 7.5 credits (FK5020) - Experimental Physics, 7.5 credits (FK5021) or Experimental Physics for Teachers, 7.5 credits (FK5022) - Atomic and Molecular Physics, 7.5 credits (FK5023) - Nuclear and Particle Physics, Astrophysics and Cosmology, 7.5 credits (FK5024) - Statistical Mechanics and Condensed Matter, 7.5 credits (FK5025) - Project in Experimental Modern Physics, 7.5 credits (FK5026)
