Kursen ger en introduktion till samisk arkeologi, historia, religionshistoria och kultur. Kursen behandlar möten bland mÀnniskor i Såpmi frÄn jÀrnÄldern till modern tid i Norge, Sverige, Finland och Ryssland utifrÄn det arkeologiska kÀllmaterialet och skriftliga kÀllor. Kursen berör frÄgor om samisk materiell kultur, etnicitet, kristnandeprocesser och kolonialism. Kursen har tyngdpunkt pÄ materiella lÀmningar, sÄvÀl materiell kultur som mÀnskliga kvarlevor, och laborativa analyser av dessa.
