The course covers classification and knowledge of sedimentary rocks, sedimentary processes and environments, and the relationship of sedimentary rocks to plate tectonics. The course has an open start and you can read the course at your own pace. Re-exams may be held on campus.

Entry requirements

Access to the course requires knowledge equivalent to 60 credits in geology or earth science, where the courses Tellus I 30 credits (GG2003) and Tellus II 22.5 credits (GG4033) alternatively Geology 30 credits (GG2006) are included, as well as 7.5 credits mineralogy (GG4002 /GG4016/GG4029/GG4037/GG4141).
