Kursen syftar till att ge grundläggande kunskaper i samhällsplaneringens processer. Kursen behandlar hur olika planer och styrinstrument produceras och tillämpas i samspel mellan olika aktörer, organisationer och institutioner. Kursen behandlar hur planeringsprocess styrs, regleras och organiseras utifrån olika institutionella förutsättningar med utgångspunkt processorienterade planeringsteorier och centrala planeringsbegrepp som makt och legitimitet, rationalitet och delaktighet.
