The course provides an introduction to the subject of work science. Work science is an umbrella term for knowledge necessary to adapt technology, the environment and work to suit people´s biological, physiological, psychological, social and cultural circumstances. The course is divided into the following subject areas: Introduction to work science, Psychosocial and organisational environment, Physical environment, Information and interaction in technical systems, Methods and design processes, Economic and legal conditions. National and international research with relevance for the subject area will be discussed.

The equivalent of general entrance requirements for higher education studies.
