Kursen innebär ett systematiskt och fördjupat studium inom det förskolepedagogiska området. Aktuell forskning, vetenskaplig teori och metod samt forskningsetik behandlas. I kursen bearbetas frågor om problemformulering, planering, genomförande och sammanställning av en rapport utifrån vetenskaplig praxis. Dessutom behandlas frågor om kritisk granskning och försvar av vetenskaplig rapport.
