In a modern X-ray department there are many technologically advanced devices. The management of the devices needs to ensure optimal performance. This means that the devices must produce images that can be used for diagnostics and also provide stable, acceptable radiation doses to the patients. The course gives a deep understanding of the current technical applications used for diagnostics in a modern X-ray department. The course also give an introduction about the laws that regulate the use of ionizing radiation and knowledge regarding safety when working with medical equipment. The course includes two modules: Theory 5 credits Laboratory, 2.5 credits

Entry requirements

At least 90 credits including a basic course in medical technology or equivalent. English and Swedish for basic eligibility for university studies if the education is given in Swedish.
