Kursen behandlar kemisk nomenklatur, det periodiska systemet, stökiometri, atomers och föreningars elektronstruktur med koppling till spektroskopi, samt intermolekylära krafter i fast, vätske-, och gasfas. Kursen behandlar kemiska reaktioner såsom kemisk blandning, syra-bas och oxidation-reduktions reaktioner, samt beskriver deras kinetik. Vidare behandlas kemisk jämvikt utifrån ett termodynamiskt perspektiv. En introduktion ges även till elektrokemi och organisk kemi.
Entry requirements
Thermodynamics 15 credits, or equivalent.
